Below is a list of possible questions about the MSR Fanzine (which will be updated as we get more asks), but if you don't find the information you're looking for here, feel free to submit a question through the "Contact" page.
What kind of things will be in the zine?
most definitely there will be fanfiction and art. these are the backbones of a fan magazine. we'll also have, though, meta-commentary, interviews, analysis, jokes, ephemera, screen-caps, and other great stuff. if we continue into future issues, we'll also print a letters section from readers and fans.
What's the due date for submissions?
the deadline for submitting content to the first issue was March 1, 2019. future issues will be announced after the first issue is complete.
How many issues will there be?
this is really up to everyone involved with the project, and those who order. we'll see how things go with this first issue, but i love the idea of continuing the project beyond a single issue.
Will every submission be accepted?
this will depend on the number of submissions received. obviously we can't print and distribute a 300-page zine, so there may need to be some editorial decisions, but these will be made fairly by blind reviewers, if it comes to that. submissions that don't make it into the issue can be posted online, or submitted to a later issue.
When will the first issue be ready?
we collected submissions through march 1, 2019, and distribution is planned for late spring, 2019.
How do I get a copy?
we're still in the production process, but as soon as the zine is available, all that information will be here on an ordering page.
Will you ship internationally?
yes! many of our fans and contributors live all around the world. we will absolutely ship internationally.
How much will the fanzine cost?
the cost right now is estimated around $9 USD, plus shipping, which will vary depending on where you live.
Will there be a digital version?
i prefer the idea of a hard-copy zine, separate from digital content, but that's just me, and this is an open process that lots of folks are working on together. perhaps we'll release a digital copy some months after print distribution? this is something to think about, but right now the plan is for print.
