Layout and cover design are now complete, and I've ordered the first proof through Blurb! Assuming everything looks good, the zine is on schedule for distribution in late April, 2019. The zine comes to about 100 pages of content, including fanfiction, art, an interview, and a personal essay. I'm hoping to include new types of content in the second issue, so keep thinking about what would be good to see.
So, today is the deadline for submissions to the first zine! I've gotten some excellent fics and pieces of art, and I'm sure more will come in as we approach the end of the day. As soon as all submissions are in, I'll begin going through them and starting work on selection and layout. Barring no major problems, the zine should be available by May 1. :) :) :)
Welp, today I started building this website instead of writing my dissertation or preparing for the talk I need to give later today. Productive! Right now I'm in the process of working out all of these logistics and the things that people have questions about. I can't wait for this project to start coming together.
